Apo Island is one of the best place to spend for your summer vacation; it’s a small island in Negros Oriental characterized with beautiful and stunning beauty of their resort. It’s a scuba capital island of Negros known as having a colorful coral reefs, preserved sanctuary for sea turtles and different species of fish. This is one of the top list of places that most of the divers spend their time doing diving activities. Apo Island is considered as the perfect summer place for adventure and for those who love to snorkeling and diving adventure. It is one of the protective islands in Philippines but open for every visitor who would like to visit.


If you are planning to visit Apo Island, below are the lists of beautiful things that you have to experience when you get there.

  • 1.       You will witness sea turtles just few distances from the sea side. While you are snorkeling, someone will guide towards the location where sea turtles can be seen. Not just one but they are three.
  • 2.       Enjoy swimming and snorkeling in their crystal clear water, beautiful corals and colorful fishes are everywhere.
  • 3.       Burn fats by hiking and climbing up towards light house, its just a few distance away from the place where you are able to stay and settle down your things.
  • 4.       Enjoy island hopping around the island.


 These are the useful travel tips to save money when you go to Apo Island.

  • 1.       Apo Island takes 30 minutes to travel using pump boat or motor boat. Their station is located at malatapay dauin, 30 minutes away from Dumaguete city. From Dumaguete city, you can take bus or jeep going there. Its better to be travel early so you can have time queuing for your ride. And better go there in a group

  • 2.       Bring you own life jacket, snorkel and other swimming stuff you need, or else you have to rent 100 pesos each when you get there. Without life jacket, you are not allowed to swim.

  • 3.       When you get there, you can either find a guide during sea turtle watching. 300 pesos for the guide that will be a whole day guide.

  • 4.       Fare for your ride from Malatapay going to Apo Island is 2500 – 3000 pesos, better travel with a group of people or much better if you go there with your friends.

  • 5.       Don’t forget to bring your camera or go pro, you will miss the beautiful moment if you don’t have any images from that island.

  • Don forget to bring foods and water, though you can buy from their mini stores.
