This is what happened to this place, it was once a productive port where used to be the drop off point and the processing of copper from Felix Mining which is located  kilometers away from the Old port. It was once a place where huge ships from different continent getting the large amount stocks (Copper) to be transported to other countries. It was the place where people from local area having their job for good.

This place was like a little city, they have the hotel in that area, department stores, there are residences that are living nearby and most of them are employees of the company.  Every day is a busy day for everyone who is working in there, it was not just a small business but it was a huge one.
After the declaration of bankruptcy where the company decided to shut down their business it was the time where the place started to change. People are losing their job, families are evacuated back to their home towns, it became a ghost town. Only security guards are the only people who were there, taking care of the place. After how many decades, it became totally forgotten. The structure, buildings and equipment are slowly eaten by rust and it became useless.

It was then called the abandoned port, it was totally abandoned by the company. Without any plans to take it and back to what it is before. Then, it became now one of the best spot for tourist and local visitors. It’s a free place for everyone; you can enjoy things you want as what you usually do when you are at the beach.
