Magnificent adventure at El Tzino White Beach Resort

El Tzino is just one of the finest beach resort situated in Negros Occidental Cauayan particularly at Elihan. It is one of the Baranggy of Cauayan where various resorts can be found namely, Punta Bulata, Tinagong Balas, Arock, El Tzino and just few kilometers away from Tinagong Dagat. These resorts are characterized with beautiful scenery, clear water, colorful corals, beautiful sunset on the horizon and fine white sand.

This is the best place to enjoy your summer vacation with friends, family and your love one. We been there for how many times already and yet we are still having fun going with friends. It is a relaxing place, if you look for not populated resorts. They have available rooms which is affordable that can fit 4 to 5 person in one room and very accommodated staff. Their manager/caretake is indeed, a responsible to their costumers where the needs of everybody is their number one priority.

The place is relaxing when you have your time sipping a hot coffee while watching the two islets from afar setting from the right and left. You can feel the cold breeze of air, hearing the sounds of motor boat from the horizon, they are going home from catching fishes. The morning breeze is indeed a wonderful time when you are in El Tzino.

There are several adventurous things you can do while you are in El Tzino, you can do your snorkeling, swimming, Kayaking and Island Hopping.

Island Hopping Guide:
- There are two different islets just near the El Tzino, the Nahawan and the Danjugan Island. Nahawan requires entrance fee ranges Php. 50 to Php. 100, Cottage rentals Php. 100 to Php. 200.
- El Tzino offers boat rentals and guide for only Php. 1,000 to Php. 1,500,
- Danjugan island is a private place, it is intended for research and development and it is protected sanctuary, You are not allowed to dock without permission or booking. Going around with your motor boat is ok.
- Secure your foods, snacks and water when you get there. You can buy those things when you are in that place, it takes 20 minutes to 30 to travel.

  1. Resort - the word connotes relaxation or pleasure. This IS NOT the case when it comes to this place.
First of all, their Facebook page has no information as to what services they offer. Not even a description to tell me that if you don't bring anything to eat, I will starve! Thank goodness being Pinoy, my family packed up food!

I booked a room that is good for 8 people according to them,, paid almost 5K. The room is only furnished with 2 double beds and is not suitable for 8 people! It is more than big enough you are 8 sardines!!! oh yeah, they provided an extra floor mattress 🙄
Going back to the definition of a resort, not relaxing at all. When I asked if they have available rooms, they hesitated to show me the room and told me I have to pay more than the price of the room we already occupied because they have new furnishing. Whatever! They have scheduled rate depending on the number of occupants of the room. Let's take their Flamingo room for example - 2 pax 2500; 3-4 pax 3600; 5-8 pax 4500. Yet the staff told me it's 4500. I am not paying for another close to 5K for 3-4 people!

NO wifi! It is fine for people who wants to disconnect from the world but people should have that option for themselves to make. The area that has good cell signal is about 200 feet away, the parking lot! in emergency cases, people will be helpless.

NO TV in the room. The rain poured in less that 30 minutes after we checked in. We did not have anything to do except stare at each other. If you have children you want to experience how to die from boredom, this would be the perfect place.

NO FOOD service except breakfast. No info was provided ahead of time we could order something they can cook. But place to go unwind, it will kill you with hunger. We asked for hot water for tea and believe it or not, we were charged for the hot water!!!

Staff members must be family members. Sitting on the porch outside our room, people come and go by the "front desk" which is also the kitchen and the bar area. People would come to have a drink of water. They would grab cups, get a drink of water from the water jug, "rinse" it with tap water and replaced back on the disk rack - THEY DO NOT WASH IT WITH SOAP! And they cook for people!!! They are not wearing face masks all the time either.

The following morning, the occupants next door checked out. They "fumigated" the room, opened the door and the fumes came out and we inhaled it while sitting outside our room.

We checked out ahead of schedule, with 2-night reservation, 1 night of this hell was enough to know it will not get better.

As I mentioned earlier, this does not promote relaxation. We left more stressed than when we arrived.
